The role
Day-to-day management of operatives and gangs, NRSWA compliance, sign-off of reinstatements, liaison with highway authorities and clients, RAMS and toolbox talks, and ensuring all site activity meets the client's quality regime.
Required tickets
NRSWA Supervisor (units 10, 11, 12), CSCS Supervisor card, SSSTS or SMSTS, and the appropriate sector-specific accreditation (SA002 for Openreach pole work, EUSR for water, etc.). First Aid at Work is commonly required.
Day rates
Site supervisor rates typically £220–£320/day. Senior supervisors managing multiple gangs on framework contracts can earn more. Long-term contracts dominate over short-term work.
