Subcontractor Onboarding
Onboarding a new subcontractor properly is the single highest-leverage compliance activity for a utility contractor. Get it right at the start and the rest of the relationship looks after itself.
The minimum data set
Company details and Companies House check, insurance certificates (PL, EL, PI), accreditation matrix for every operative, RAMS template, signed terms of engagement, payment and CIS details where applicable.
Verification at source
Don't rely on a PDF of a card — verify accreditations against the awarding body where possible. Utiliteasy reviews every uploaded certificate and checks it against the issuing body's register where one is available.
Ongoing compliance
Cards expire. Insurances renew. RAMS get out of date. Maintain a live compliance dashboard rather than a one-off onboarding pack.
