Utility Compliance Checklist
Running compliant on a UK utility programme means more than tickets on the wall. This checklist covers the accreditations, insurances, HSE duties and data obligations that delivery partners and clients expect to see.
Workforce
Every operative needs current CSCS, NRSWA and sector accreditations on file. Maintain a live competency matrix — who holds what, expiry dates, and renewal triggers. Utiliteasy's compliance dashboard does this automatically.
Insurance
Most utility frameworks require £5m Public Liability, £10m Employers' Liability and Professional Indemnity cover. Keep copies of current certificates on file and renewed annually.
HSE and RAMS
Site-specific Risk Assessments and Method Statements are required for every job. Most utility clients also expect monthly SHEQ reporting.
Data and GDPR
Worker data must be held lawfully and securely. Subcontractor onboarding requires proportionate data handling and clear consent. Use a platform that's GDPR-compliant by design.
