SA002 Accreditation
SA002 is Openreach's pole climbing and working-at-height accreditation. Required for any operative climbing telegraph poles on the Openreach network.
What SA002 covers
Safe pole climbing, pole testing, ladder use, aerial cable handling, fall arrest equipment and rescue procedures.
Who needs it
Any operative working on Openreach aerial work — fibre rollouts, pole replacements, copper drop wires and aerial cabling.
Renewal
SA002 must be kept current. The expiry date is printed on the card — track it on your Utiliteasy profile to avoid losing site access.
