Network vs service work
Network work covers main replacement, valve installation, pressure management and reinforcement. Service work covers individual property connections, meter installs and disconnections. Both require formal accreditation and continuous training.
Required accreditations
SHEA-Gas is mandatory for any operative on a gas distribution site. CCN1 and the relevant ACS qualifications are required for any work on installation, commissioning or maintenance. Gas DN authorisations are renewed annually.
